Sheldon J. Lee, endearingly known as "Spike," is a dynamic leader and the Director of Creative Content at LSU Athletics, a role he has excelled in since July 2023. With a keen eye for innovative storytelling and a deep understanding of digital media, Sheldon has been a key figure in LSU's creative content landscape since his arrival in November 2020.
Prior to his promotion, Sheldon was responsible for overseeing the creative content production for LSU Women’s Basketball and all Olympic sports. His work spans various platforms, including social media, television, in-venue video boards, and premium subscription content, significantly enhancing fan engagement and digital presence. Under his direction, LSU's content achieved impressive milestones, including 35 million+ engagements across Olympic sports accounts in FY24 and a 241.8% increase in the social media following for LSU Women’s Basketball during their historic 2023 NCAA National Championship season.
Before joining LSU, Sheldon served as a Social Media Correspondent with Learfield at the University of Arkansas, where he created impactful branded content that drove revenue and significantly boosted online visibility for Razorback Athletics. He began his career as a Marketing and Digital Media Graduate Assistant at McNeese State University, while also contributing to game operations, ticket sales, and the launch of the digital media department.
A native of Orange, TX, Sheldon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Lamar University and earned his Master of Science in Sport Management from LSU in May 2024. His expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite and strategic communication, combined with his passion for storytelling and relationship-building, has established him as a leading figure in collegiate sports content creation.
